John Livermore represents Worthing West division on West Sussex County Council.
John Livermore was elected to the County Council in May 1997. He has been Chairman of the Public Protection Select Committee, which took an interest in Fire and Rescue, Trading Standards, Police, Emergency Planning and the Registration Service, and more recently Chairman of the Planning Committee. He was elected to Worthing Borough Council in May 1998 representing Heene Ward. He has lived in Worthing for the past 21 years and is retired. John first became interested in politics at the age of 11 when he joined the Young Britons - they were the 'young' young Conservatives and at the age of 23 he became the youngest Borough Councillor at that time to be elected to Ilford Borough Council where he served for eight years.
